Macross Frontier
Macross Frontier’s official website has been launched with a whole lot of new details and media on the upcoming series. Billed as the direct sequel to the original Macross series (Macross, Macross 7) it also marks Macross’s 25th anniversary of the series. Check out my earlier post on the commemorative event held here recently.
With direction and mecha design from the famed Shoji Kawamori and music by Yoko Kanno, this looks to be the most anticipated Macross sequel in years. The site has been updated with more storyline details, Valkyrie designs and character profiles. Judging from the new mech designs, the new Valkyries seems to have a more organic look similar to his recent designs seen in Eureka 7.
The first episode premiered in Japan on December 23, 2007 with the rest of the episodes on regular broadcast starting in April’08. Stay tuned for my review on the premiere episode of Macross Frontier soon !
