Maaya Sakamoto Reunites with Yoko Kanno for Macross Frontier
My wish came true ! Macross Frontier’s theme song will be a collaborative effort from two my favorite artistes, singer Maaya Sakamoto and composer Yoko Kanno. You definitely can’t get a better combination than this. Maaya and Yoko have worked together on a number of songs previously in animes like The Vision of Escaflowne, Wolf’s Rain, Cardcaptor Sakura and Rahxephon. It’s interesting to note, as gabrielarobin.com pointed out, that the opening theme song “Triangler” was written by Gabriela Robin! Macross Frontier begins airing in April this year.
