Guitar Hero DS

IGN Network and Yahoo has an exclusive piece on the upcoming Guitar Hero for the Nintendo DS platform. The title which is currently being developed by Vicarious Visions features a Guitar Grip device that plugs into the NDS’s GBA slot that acts as the fret buttons on the console’s counterpart and includes a custom guitar pick. Based on the ever popular Guitar Hero series, players hold the device vertically as notes slide down on one screen with the player holding the corresponding fret keys and strums the strings on the touchscreen to the rhythm of the song. Battle modes will introduce innovative game play maneuvers as players try to extinguish out-of-control stage pyrotechnics by blowing into their DS or fending off scores of fans by signing autographs on the touchscreen.
The game will also offer multiplayer modes using the NDS wireless capability. Activision has yet to announce the final track listing or release date but one thing’s for sure, this game is set to ROCK when its released ! Check out the video promo!

I’m quite surprised actually as most girls would prefer the DS over the PSP.
