Motoko does not need a facelift. The original was good enough as it was. What we need is a Ghost in the Shell SAC 3rd Gig rather than the original series. It was groundbreaking then, but the series encapsulated more of the philosophy (which was the selling point) than the movie which squeezed everything into a short time.
